About the project.

Forester Construction Group is a site that I had the opportunity to design from the ground up. I was able to design every bit of their branding and presence starting with creating their brand and logo. I took careful attention to the client’s personal design preferences, the sophisticated demographic that the company will be delivering to in the Naples, FL area, as well as the surrounding design and construction market. In designing, I aimed to keep these three factors at the forefront in order to be able to keep my client competitive while also reflecting their personal, traditional style.

UX Challenges.

With realizing the ultimate goal of the site and the expectation of the clientele visiting the site, I needed to create a platform that was extremely simple and easy to navigate. The user, anticipated to be middle-aged, is accessing the site through many different potential mediums with the main objective of viewing the company’s work and to potentially then contact the company. With that, I needed to design a site that offered easy access to these two components especially.

UX Solutions.

In designing this site, I aimed to create a platform that perfectly hosts the client’s clean and sophisticated work. With that, I wanted the site’s colors and fonts to remain simple in order to not take away from the ultimate focus at hand, the images representing the company’s product.

To deliver the need of a user-friendly site, I kept the navigation extremely simple through placing buttons and all interactive components precisely where a user would expect them within the navigation bar and hamburger menu for smaller screens. I was able to keep the development and the design extremely simple through the use of vanilla Javascript along with Bootstrap.
